This Tramin T Cuv\u00e9e Rosso is a very successful blend of the local Schiava (Vernatsch) grape, Pinot Noir, and a touch of Merlot. It is a combination of the history and winemaking tradition of Alto Adige. Incredibly juicy with delicious red fruit and a lovely freshness. Elegant and light, pure, and with a beautiful finish. The grapes grow on a soil of calcareous clay and granite at an altitude of 250 to 550 meters. The microclimate is an extreme interplay between sunny days, influenced by the Mediterranean climate, and cool nights, characterized by cold downdrafts from the surrounding mountains. The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed after harvesting. They then undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. This preserves the beautiful acidity, which ensures freshness, and of course, the delicious fruit. Subsequently, the wine matures further in steel tanks.<\/p>\n
This blend is perfect as a companion for light meat dishes or with grilled fish.<\/p>\n
Summer Tip: Serve this red wine slightly chilled, ideally around 12-14 degrees Celsius. This brings out the fruit even better, making it a delicious wine for a sunny day. Additionally, it can elevate fresh summer dishes.<\/p>\n
Cantina Tramin is one of the first cooperative wineries in Trentino-Alto Adige to take on the challenges of sustainable agriculture. It started with 15 hectares of vineyard where the vines are cultivated according to organic and biodynamic principles. This means without the use of herbicides, but instead following the rhythm of nature. The grapes are nourished by the wisdom of Mother Earth. It is a slower and more labor-intensive process, but the results are certainly worth it!<\/p>\n
This method of winemaking is nutritious and healthy and allows the grapes to taste more like themselves. The typical flavors of the grapes and the terroir are expressed more clearly.
