Latour 2010 wordt gezien als \u00e9\u00e9n van de beste wijnen uit Bordeaux van de 21ste eeuw (tot nu toe uiteraard). We hebben deze wijn beperkt op voorraad in onze wijnkelder in de originele Latour-kistjes van \u00e9\u00e9n fles. Chateau Latour 2010 is gemaakt van drie druiven: Carbernet Sauvignon (90,5%),\u00a0 Merlot (9,5%) en\u00a0 Petit Verdot (0,5%). Het is een perfecte Bordeaux: zeer complex, krachtig, verfijnd en elegant. Een wijn met een volle body en aroma&#8217;s van\u00a0 bramen, zwarte bes, truffel, espresso en hints van kruidigheid.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Hoe beoordelen wijnrecensenten Grand Vin de Ch\u00e2teau Latour 2010?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Deze unieke wijn krijgt van veel wijnrecensenten de perfecte score van 99 &#8211; 100 punten: <em>100 Wine Advocate \/ 100 Suckling \/ 100 Vinous \/ 100 Decanter \/ 99 Wine Enthusiast \/ 99 Wine Spectator \/ 19 Robinson.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ch\u00e2teau Latour 2010 is een wijn die de perfectie nadert. Ongelofelijk puur, met geconcentreerde cassis en pruimenfruit dat een heel precies pad snijdt, terwijl sintels van anijs, viooltjes en zwarte kersenconfituur een prachtige achtergrond vormen. Krachtig, strak en ongelooflijk lange afdronk. De wijn is nu op dronk, maar ook nog vele jaren kan rijpen en mooier wordt. Op dronk tot zeker 2050 en misschien nog wel veel langer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wine Advocate (100\/100)<\/strong> <em>&#8220;The <\/em><em>2010 Latour is deep garnet in color, and\u2014WOW\u2014it erupts from the glass with powerful cr\u00e8me de cassis, Black Forest cake and blackberry pie scents plus intense sparks of dried roses, cigar boxes, fragrant earth and smoked meats with aniseed and crushed rocks wafts. Full-bodied, concentrated and oh-so-decadent in the mouth, it has a firm, grainy texture and lovely freshness carrying the rich, opulent fruit to an epically long finish. Nevertheless, this blend of 90.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9.5% Merlot, and .5% Petit Verdot hit 14.4% natural alcohol and represents a tiny 36% of their entire production. The pH is about 3.6, which is normal compared to the 3.8 pH of the 2009, that wine being slightly lower in alcohol, hence the combination that makes it more flamboyant and accessible. The 2010 is a liquid skyscraper in the mouth, building layers upon layers of extravagant, if not over-the-top richness with its hints of subtle charcoal, truffle, blackberry, cassis, espresso and notes of toast and graphite. Full-bodied, with wonderfully sweet tannin, it is a mind-boggling, prodigious achievement that should hit its prime in about 15 years, and last for 50 to 100.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>There is no denying the outrage and recriminations over the decision by the Pinault family and their administrator, Frederic Engerer, to pull Latour off the futures market next year. However, you can still buy these 2010s, although the first two wines are not likely to be released until they have more maturity, which makes sense from my perspective. Perhaps Latour may have offended a few loyal customers who were buying wines as futures, but they are trying to curtail all the interim speculation that occurs with great vintages of their wines (although only God knows what a great vintage of future Latour will bring at seven or eight years after the harvest). As a set of wines, the 2010s may be the Pinaults\u2019 and Engerer\u2019s greatest achievements to date. Of course, I suspect the other first-growth families won\u2019t want to hear that, nor will most of the negociants in Bordeaux, but it\u2019s just the way things are. Frederic Engerer, by no means the most modest of administrators at the first growths, thinks it would be virtually impossible to produce a wine better than this, and he may well be correct. If they gave out Academy Awards for great performances in wine, the Pinaults and Engerer would certainly fetch a few in 2010. P.S. Gevestigd in Pauillac in Bordeaux op slechts 300 meter verwijderd van de oevers van de Gironde. Door de tijd heen heeft deze rivierbedding een grote invloed gehad op de samenstelling van de grond en heeft het de complexiteit gegeven waar het terroir van Latour om bekend staat. Bovendien zorgt de nabijheid van de grote watermassa voor een getemperde temperatuur en beschermt de wijngaarden tegen extreme kou.<\/p>\n<h3>De geschiedenis van Chateau Latour in het kort<\/h3>\n<p>Ch\u00e2teau Latour werd al genoemd in een document van 1331. Echter het ch\u00e2teau is echt bekend geraakt toen Alexandre de S\u00e9gur het domein verwierf in de late 17e eeuw, als het resultaat van opeenvolgende huwelijken en erfenissen. Deze Alexandre en later zijn zoon, Nicolas-Alexandre hadden een voorziende blik&#8230;.. Ze kochten verschillende belangrijke wijngaarden in de M\u00e9doc, inclusief Lafite and Mouton. In het begin van de 18e eeuw ontwikkelden de Engelse aristocraten hun interesse voor bijzondere wijnen uit de Bordeaux. Pinault bracht het landgoed naar een nog hoger niveau door de vatenkamer, de faciliteiten zelfs de voorraadkamers te renoveren. In zijn zoektocht naar perfectie cre\u00eberde hij ook een nieuwe rijpingskelder in 2012. Hij besliste ook om de wijnen niet langer \u201cen primeur\u201d te verkopen.
