Pat\u00f9 Primitivo: An ode to the ancestors<\/h2>\n

The Giustini Pat\u00f9 Primitivo is an ode to the ancestors of the Tenuta Giustini Family Estate. At the helm of the estate is Giuseppe Papadopoli, whose ancestors moved from Greece to Italy. Here, they settled in the small town of Pat\u00f9, in the heart of Salento, at the southernmost tip of Puglia. The town is incorporated into the bottle label. This Primitivo embodies the harmony and embracing warmth of Pat\u00f9. A powerful yet elegant wine, bursting with sun-baked fruit, Mediterranean spiciness, and a light and elegant finish. This combination makes the wine endlessly delicious! Perfect with a good piece of barbecued meat or a spicy curry!<\/p>\n

Tenuta Giustini Pat\u00f9 Primitivo<\/h3>\n

The vineyards are located in Salento<\/a>, Puglia<\/a> in the heel of Italy. Sun-drenched days and high temperatures cooled by the influence of the sea. The Primitivo<\/a>-grape thrives very well here. It yields a full-bodied wine, bursting with sun-baked fruit; ripe plums, sweet cherries, and blackcurrants. A pleasant Mediterranean spiciness with notes of cinnamon, cardamom, and clove. Yet this wine has a light and elegant finish with soft tannins and lively acidity.<\/p>\n

In the last week of September, when the grapes are optimally ripe, the pickers get to work. They pick all the grapes by hand. The grapes are then destemmed and crushed. The juice ferments on the peels at a controlled temperature for 10-12 days. The wine then matures for a number of months in stainless steel tanks. The lack of wood aging ensures that the optimal fruitiness is retained and the acids balance the wine in an elegant way.<\/p>\n

Food and wine pairing<\/h3>\n

Thanks to the ripe, full character of this Primitivo, it pairs very well with a good piece of grilled meat or spicy stews. A flavorful risotto is also a very suitable dish for this wine. The touch of sweetness imparted by the dark fruit makes this wine a perfect match for spicy dishes such as curry or Asian cuisine.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
