De smaak is heerlijk fris en mineralig met verfijnde zuren en een lange afdronk.<\/p>\n<h2>Wijnhuis Giovanni Almondo<\/h2>\n<p>Het Piemontese wijnhuis Giovanni Almondo is een echt familiebedrijf. Tot begin jaren \u201980 van de vorige eeuw verbouwde Giovanni er voornamelijk fruit: perziken, aardbeien, appels en ook druiven, maar die verkocht hij. Van slechts een kleine hoeveelheid maakt hij zelf wijn. Zoon Domenico bracht daar in 1980 verandering in. Als pas afgestudeerde agrarische wetenschapper besloot hij om wijn te gaan maken van <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/arneis\/\">arneis<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/nebbiolo\/\">nebbiolo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/barbera\/\">barbera<\/a>. Het bedrijf groeide onder zijn leiding zowel letterlijk als figuurlijk en in 1984 werden de eerste flessen ge\u00ebxporteerd naar de Verenigde Staten, Duitsland en Zwitserland.<\/p>\n<p>Vandaag de dag omvat de productie jaarlijks 90.000 flessen, waarvan het overgrote deel arneis.\u00a0Domenico\u2019s vrouw Antonella, zoons Federico en Stefano zijn allen werkzaam in het wijnbedrijf en ook vader Giovanni en moeder Teresina zijn nog regelmatig in de wijngaarden te vinden. De nu nog jonge Federico heeft het vakmanschap en de passie van zijn vader ge\u00ebrfd en zal hem op termijn opvolgen als wijnmaker.<\/p>\n<p>De gemeente Mont\u00e0, waar het wijnhuis is gevestigd, is de enige gemeente in Langhe en Roero dat een terroir heeft dat zowel geschikt is voor <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/arneis\/\">arneis<\/a> als voor <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/nebbiolo\/\">nebbiolo<\/a>. Het noordelijke deel van de gemeente heeft op 400 meter de hoogst gelegen wijngaarden van de regio. De zure bodem bestaat er voornamelijk uit zand en is uiterst geschikt voor geurige en mineralige wijnen van arneis. Het zuidelijke deel van de gemeente ligt lager en de bodem bevat er meer kalk: ideaal voor medium bodied wijnen van nebbiolo.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<h2>Terroir en vinificatie<\/h2>\n<p>Gematigd landklimaat. De bodem is rijk aan zanderige afzettingen, gesteente en kalkrijke klei. De wijngaarden liggen op een hoogte van 360 meter op hellingen met een oostelijke en zuidoostelijke expositie.\u00a0De druiven worden voorzichtig geperst en zorgvuldig beschermd tegen zuurstof om oxidatie te voorkomen. 95% vergist in roestvrijstalen tanks op 17 \u00b0C, 5% in barriques. De wijn rijpt 6 maanden op de lie voordat de botteling plaatsvindt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<h2>Taste and food pairing<\/h2>\n<p>Bricco delle Ciliegie Roero Arneis is een zuivere, aromatische wijn met in de geur exotisch fruit, perzik en witte bloemen. De smaak is fris en mineralig met verfijnde zuren en een lange afdronk.\u00a0Serveer deze wijn op een temperatuur van 12-14 \u00b0C bij verfijnde voorgerechten, bruschetta met tomaat en oregano, en bij vis- of groentegerechten.
