Pinot Grigio van grote hoogte.<\/h2>\n

En zo is het letterlijk en figuurlijk want deze Girlan Classici Pinot Grigio is verbouwd op de heuvelachtige wijngaarden van Cornaiano op een hoogte vari\u00ebrend van 450 tot 500 m boven zeeniveau in goed geventileerde wijngaarden. Het gebied waarin ze zijn aangeplant is rijk aan mineralen, het resultaat van sedimentatie in de ijstijd.\u00a0 Mede hierdoor is het een Pinot Grigio van een uitmuntende klasse.<\/p>\n

De Pinot Grigio heeft kleine trossen roestkleurige, bijna bruin tot grijsachtige druiven. Ze behoren tot dezelfde familie van de Bourgondische Pinots.\u00a0 De Girlan Classici Pinot Grigio is bleek citroengeel van kleur. In de neus fruitige aroma\u2019s van appel en peer. Verder tonen van amandel en wat kruidigheid (kervel). In de smaak is de wijn zacht van structuur, sappig en levendig. Hij heeft echt een zacht, delicaat gehemelte dat een mooie begeleider is van asperges, gepocheerde vis, bijvoorbeeld zalmforel met een groene kruidensaus.\u00a0 \u00a0 De wijn is duidelijk frisser en eleganter dan zijn soortgenoten uit Veneto. Een gastronomische wijn.<\/p>\n

Alto Adige<\/h3>\n

The Alto Adige<\/a> in het afgelegen, bergachtige noorden van Itali\u00eb is misschien wel de meest eigenzinnige hooggelegen regio die er is. Ja, je bent technisch in Itali\u00eb, maar vergeet pasta, gebruinde jongeren op Vespa’s en je
\nItaliaans op de middelbare school. Dit is S\u00fcdtirol, op een steenworp afstand van de Oostenrijkse en Zwitserse grens en omringd door de Dolomieten.
\nDe wijnen van Alto Adige zijn net zo uniek als de omgeving. Dit is ge\u00efsoleerd, met een wijnbouw op grote hoogte in het uiterste geval. Hier een eindeloze verscheidenheid aan steenachtige, goed gedraineerde, op het zuiden gerichte hellingen. Een breed assortiment druivensoorten wordt hier al lang en intens verbouwd.\u00a0 Veel voorkomende vari\u00ebteiten zijn Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc in Frankrijk en mogelijk de beste witte druif van Alto Adige), Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Traminer en Riesling.<\/p>\n

Girlan<\/h3>\n

Girlan is een van de beste ’telerscollectieven’ in de regio en produceren wit en rood. De co\u00f6peratie was\u00a0 ook een van de eerste collectieven in Alto Adige die haar telers strikte normen oplegde vwb de kwaliteit van hun fruit en de opbrengsten. Meer dan 70% van de wijnen uit de regio wordt geproduceerd door dergelijke co\u00f6peraties. Een aantal, waaronder Girlan, besturen een prachtige reeks van de de mooiste plekken van de regio. Dit is geen nieuw fenomeen en heeft niets te maken met de co\u00f6peraties die je normaal gesproken in Frankrijk aantreft of andere delen van de wijnwereld.<\/p>\n

In de afgelopen 10 jaar is Girlan druk bezig geweest om zich te vestigen als een van de meest interessante namen van Alto Adige. Het was de komst van de nieuwe keldermeester Gehard Kofler in 2006, die de boel op scherp zette.\u00a0 In 2008 had Girlan vijf wijnen die strijden om Gambero Rosso’s ‘Tre Bicchieri’ (‘Drie Glazen’) waarvan er eentje won. \u00a0Wanneer je deze producer voor het eerst bezoekt, word je getroffen door de frisheid, delicatesse en aromatische complexiteit van de wijnen, als een weerspiegeling van de geweldige locaties, lage opbrengsten en\u00a0de vlekkeloos schone kelder van Girlan.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
