Een absolute topper die je kunt vergelijken met een Puligny of Chassagne Montrachet. Citrus en limoen in de neus, aangevuld met heerlijke houttonen en toast. Een krachtige doch ronde wijn met een elegante mineraliteit en gebalanceerde afdronk. Een luxe aperitief voor liefhebbers van hout gelagerde Chardonnay, maar wij raden aan om hier toch iets bij te eten. Visgerechten, langoustines of kalfszwezerik zijn de ideale tafelgenoten van deze wijn.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Proefnotitie Berthenet Montagny 1e Cru Vieilles Vignes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Een klassieke witte <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/regio\/frankrijk\/bourgogne\/\">Burgundy<\/a> van 100% <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/chardonnay\/\">Chardonnay<\/a>. Vol, romig met een fris randje. De friszure citrustonen komen samen met een vleugje perzik en een prettige mineraliteit. De rijping op eikenhouten vaten geeft dat vettige botertje aan de smaak. Zuiver, krachtig en rond van smaak. Hoewel deze wijn zeker bij de borrel gedronken kan worden komt de Berthenet Montagny 1er Cru toch net iets beter uit de verf bij een maaltijd. Uiterst geschikt bij visgerechten en schaal- en schelpdieren maar ook bij kalfszwezerik of Epoisses!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Vinification<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>De wijngaarden van deze Chardonnay liggen in Montagny in het zuiden van C\u00f4te Chalonnaise in de Bourgogne. Premier Cru is de hoogste classificatie in Montagny en de druiven komen dan ook van de beste en oudste wijnstokken uit deze wijngaarden. Oude wijnstokken produceren minder druiven, maar stoppen alle energie in de kwaliteit en complexiteit van de druiven. Dat proef je in deze wijn zeker terug! De bodem van de wijngaarden zit vol met kalk wat de kenmerkende mineraliteit aan de wijn geeft. Na de handmatige oogst vergisten de druiven op rvs tanks. Een gedeelte rijpt op rvs verder, terwijl het andere deel rijpt op kleine, eikenhouten vaten. Dit zorgt voor de prachtige balans tussen romig en fris.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Domaine Berthenet<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Op zo\u2019n 50 kilometer ten noorden van Macon, vind je Domaine Berthenet. Een authentiek familiebedrijf van al vier generaties. Waar vroeger de druiven naar plaatselijke corporaties werden gebracht maakt het domein sinds begin deze eeuw wijn in de eigen vinificatiekelder.
