The Louis Latour Chablis La Chanfleure perfectly demonstrates what the Chardonnay grape is capable of when grown on the chalky soil of Chablis. The ultimate expression of the Chardonnay grape in Burgundy. Ripe apple, pear, white peach, white flowers, and fresh citrus dance towards you. Light gold in the glass with green accents. The nose fills with white flowers, ripe apple, pear, and white peach. On the palate, the wine is round and fresh with citrus and peach. A mineral finish completes this wine, making it the perfect accompaniment to shellfish. Chablis La Chanfleure will also not disappoint with charcuterie.<\/p>\n

Vinification<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Chablis<\/a> It is located northeast of the Burgundy region, where the famous limestone Kimmeridgian hills form the basis of very impressive wines. Typical of wines from Chablis is the use of 100% Chardonnay<\/a> with a beautiful minerality derived from this limestone soil. Hence, it is the perfect companion for shellfish. For this Chablis La Chanfleure, the grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed in the winery. The juice ferments and undergoes full malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine ages in the same tanks for 8 to 10 months on its own yeast cells for that delicious, round flavor.<\/p>\n
