We are well aware that Tenuta Giustini produces amazing wines. But this L\u2019Arcano Primitivo Dolce is a fantastic secret that reveals itself with the first sip. Harmonious, soft, full-bodied, warm, and balanced sweetness. A must-try for Primitivo lovers. L\u2019Arcano means \u2018secret\u2019 in Latin. As soon as you fill the glass, the secret reveals itself. Red fruit with sweet spices in aroma and taste. Pair this sweet Primitivo with chocolate, cakes, mature cheeses, or dried fruit.<\/p>\n

Tasting note Tenuta Giustini L'Arcano Primitivo Dolce<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In the glass, this dessert wine turns a deep, dark red. Full, luscious aromas rise from the glass. Ripe, sun-baked red fruit, dried figs, almond, and a hint of caramel. On the palate, the full aromas persist. Distinctly sweet, yet balanced. Full of flavor, harmonious, and velvety smooth. A fantastic accompaniment to everything the dessert menu has to offer: fruit tart, chocolate, dried fruit, and mature cheeses.<\/p>\n

Vinification<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The vineyards of this Tenuta Giustini L\u2019Arcano Primitivo Dolce can be found in the heel of Italy: Salento<\/a>, Puglia. The vines for this 100% Primitivo<\/a> They are at least 50 years old. This age results in a lower yield per vine, but greater complexity and quality per grape! The harvest of these grapes is somewhat later than for regular Primitivo wines. For this Dolce, the grapes are first left to dry on the vines for several weeks before being harvested by hand. After the harvest, the wine is made as is customary for Primitivo. The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. For 15 days, the juice ferments together with the skins, which are regularly submerged. After fermentation, the wine ages in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fruity character.<\/p>\n

Tenuta Giustini<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Tenuta Giustini is a winery from Puglia that has been making wine for four generations, but only since 2005 under its own label. They produce wines from local grapes: Primitivo, Negroamaro, Malvasia, and Fiano. The vineyards are situated right by the sea. The fertile terroirs of the vineyards and the sun-drenched climate result in accessible and seductive wines. The proximity to the sea ensures freshness in the wines due to the temperature differences between day and night.
