The vineyards are situated on southeast-facing slopes at an altitude of approximately 350 meters. The soil here is rich in fertile clay, which contributes to the full flavor of the wine. Thanks to the temperature differences between day and night, the grapes ripen slowly and fully, without losing their freshness. Due to small production and great name recognition, they are hard to get hold of!<\/p>\n<p>The grapes for Cigliuti Barbera d\u2019Alba Serraboella are harvested by hand to guarantee the best quality. After the harvest, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine ages partly in Slavonian oak barrels and partly in large old oak barrels. This aging process makes the wine softer and rounder, without an overpowering woody taste.
