An elegant and full-bodied wine. You can taste why this one is called \u2018the boss\u2019.<\/h2>\n

Dried apricots, apple, peach, grapefruit, lime, peach, a hint of salt, honeydew melon, and toast. Matsu \u2018La Jefa\u2019 \u2018De Bazin\u2019 has a spicy aroma with a touch of butter. The use of wood is beautifully integrated, making this, despite 14 months of wood aging (French oak), an elegant, delicate, and balanced wine! A delicious glass that is certainly worth its price. Made from a blend of Malvasia<\/a>, Chardonnay<\/a> and Viognier<\/a> from very old vines. These have a low yield, which ensures beautiful concentration and structure. All grapes are harvested by hand before further processing. Matsu \u2018La Jefa\u2019 is a reflection of the women who have worked in the vineyards of Toro throughout the centuries.<\/p>\n

Bodega Matsu<\/a><\/h3>\n

Matsu is a unique sustainable organic winemaker in the Spanish wine region. Toro<\/a>A collaboration of family businesses to join forces and advocate for the continued existence of viticulture in this special region. The Toro wine region is located northwest of Madrid on the River Duero and has held D.O. recognition since 1987. Winemaker Ra\u00fal Acha went in search of old vineyards for organic viticulture; in his search, he even found a vineyard with vines nearly 100 years old. This search and the winemaking process are reflected in the name of this wine project. This \u2018La Jafa\u2019 is the winery\u2019s fourth wine and the first white wine. Matsu<\/a> is known for its trilogy of red wines that reflect three generations. (the Recio<\/a>, Picaro<\/a> and Viejo<\/a>) This fourth wine, to also represent the female winemaker, is a welcome addition! Perhaps a gift idea<\/strong>? \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Matsu means \u201cpatient balance\u201d in Japanese. Matsu is inspired by the Japanese tradition of caring for nature in purity and simplicity. It is a tribute to the Spanish wine tradition.
