Domaine Piquemal is located in the heart of the Roussillon and covers 48 hectares in the Agly Valley, near the Corbi\u00e8res. Passionate about wine, Pierre, the grandfather of the current owner (also Pierre), began establishing and restructuring the vineyard in the 1970s. This involved grouping plots, preserving old, high-quality vineyards, and planting new grape varieties. The vineyards, now with an average age of thirty-five years, are treated with the utmost respect for the environment. This includes regular plowing to aerate the soil, promote microbial life, and rainwater harvesting.<\/p>\n
Clear, garnet-red color with a violet sheen. Clearly recognizable on the nose are small red fruits (raspberry, cherry) and cassis, with hints of licorice and bay leaf. A smooth and easy-drinking wine with a full fruit flavor and soft tannins.<\/p>\n
