The Gales Cr\u00e9mant de Luxembourg H\u00e9ritage Brut is a refined and dry sparkling wine from the sunny vineyards along the Moselle in Luxembourg. Many people have heard of <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/winkel\/cremant\/\">Cr\u00e9mant<\/a> before. The <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/regio\/champagne\/\">Champagne<\/a>-like wine that is not from <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/regio\/frankrijk\/champagne\/\">Champagne<\/a> . There are a total of 9 AOCs from which Cr\u00e9mant may originate, and Luxembourg is one of them! Want to surprise your guests with something different or toast to a special moment? Then this is a superb choice, and it\u2019s from our own Benelux too! Forget Champagne (for now), you have to taste this!<\/p>\n<p>This wine is pure, clear, and has very fine, persistent bubbles. On the nose, the H\u00e9ritage Brut has complex aromas of brioche, citrus fruits, and ripe peach. The blend of <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/riesling\/\">Riesling<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/pinot-blanc\/\">Pinot Blanc<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/auxerrois\/\">Auxerrois<\/a> ensure a fresh, fruity taste with an elegant balance between lively acidity and soft fruit notes. A superb bubbly and a nice alternative to Champagne with great value for money!<\/p>\n<h3>Flavor and Food and Wine Pairings<\/h3>\n<p>The Gales H\u00e9ritage Brut is fresh and refined, in which the fine mousse and mineral notes blend perfectly. The taste is dominated by juicy citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit, combined with subtle hints of stone fruit such as peach. This makes it a lovely choice as an aperitif, but it also comes into its own beautifully with culinary dishes. Pair this Cr\u00e9mant with luxury appetizers such as a sabayon of poached oysters, lobster, or light shellfish. Or simply alongside fresh oysters! Served at a temperature of 8-9\u00b0C, the wine is at its best.<\/p>\n<h3>Caves Gales and Vinification<\/h3>\n<p>The Gales Cr\u00e9mant de Luxembourg H\u00e9ritage Brut is from Caves Gales &amp; Cie, a prominent family business that has been producing wines in Luxembourg since 1916. Now, four generations later, Isabelle and Georges are at the helm of this traditional house. Caves Gales is known for producing both still wines and sparkling cr\u00e9mants, which are among the best in Luxembourg. The wine is made according to the m\u00e9thode traditionnelle, which means that the second fermentation takes place in the bottle. This lasts 24 months at a controlled temperature of 12\u00b0C, ensuring a refined mousse and complex flavors. After the second fermentation, the wine ages for another 3-4 months in the cellars, contributing to its unique, elegant character.<\/p>\n<p>The terroir of the southern slopes of the Moselle, where the grapes grow, offers optimal conditions for the production of refined wines. The soils, consisting mainly of marl, and the cool climate contribute to the freshness and elegance of the wines. These varieties are perfectly suited to the northern climate and are carefully selected to meet the high quality standards required for an AOP Cr\u00e9mant.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to sparkling wines, Gales also produces still wines, including Grands Premiers Crus, which are made in collaboration with local grape growers. This collaboration yields complex wines from the best vineyards along the Moselle.
