This special Thorn Pinot Noir opens up beautifully after some time! Its notes of fresh red fruit and subtle spicy tones have certainly won us over. In the glass, you have a very light-colored wine. However, that says nothing about the intensity! That is higher than you would expect with such a (beautiful) light color. This <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/regio\/nederland\/\">Dutch wine<\/a> from Thorn, located in the <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/regio\/nederland\/limburg\/maasvallei\/\">Meuse Valley<\/a> in Middle-<a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/regio\/nederland\/limburg\/\">Limburg<\/a>, shows that our country can produce excellent red wines! The <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/pinot-noir\/\">Pinot Noir<\/a> grapes are therefore grown and selected with great care, resulting in a wine that can rival renowned international examples. On the palate, it displays a complexity of red cherries, strawberries, and subtle spices. This area is one of the driest regions in the Benelux, with an average of 1,600 hours of sunshine per year. As a result, these unique conditions ensure optimal ripening of the grapes. The winemakers limit the yield to 40 hectoliters per hectare to achieve maximum concentration. After vinification, the Wijngoed Thorn Pinot Noir 777 Barrique (as the name suggests) ages for eighteen months in French oak barrels.
