Fruity, cheerful, and affordable, this Pinot Noir from the Languedoc<\/h2>\n

Pinot Noir. This grape always rings a bell with wine lovers. It is known for expensive Burgundy wines. But there is more to it! Go look for it in the Languedoc. Excellent, cheerful, fruity, and very drinkable Pinot Noir wines are made there. And affordable too. This La Villette Pinot Noir is a very fine example of that. Perfect value for money. Refreshing and subtle aromas of ripe raspberries and cranberries with a hint of plum and toast. On the palate, a beautiful balance of ripe fruit and freshness with an attractive spicy smoky flavour. This light red wine is the perfect pairing for veal and duck. However, it also pairs well with poultry and homemade p\u00e2t\u00e9s.<\/a> Drink this wine slightly cooler than room temperature. In summer, you can even drink La Villette Pinot Noir at 14-16 degrees. The fruit comes out beautifully then.<\/p>\n

La Villette Pinot Noir undergoes 6 months of wood aging.<\/h2>\n

The vineyards of La Villette are situated on slopes at the foot of the cool Pyrenees and C\u00e9vennes in the south of France. The soil consists of limestone, which is perfect for the delicate Pinot Noir. Vinification begins with 2 days of pre-fermentation. This is followed by cold maceration to capture the fresh fruit in the wine, followed by 2 weeks of fermentation.
\nThe wine ages for 6 months in French oak and is bottled early to preserve the primary flavors of the grapes.<\/p>\n

How did La Villette get its name?<\/h3>\n

La Villette is an old district of Paris that was formerly home to the city's most important food and wine market. It was a very lively neighborhood where Parisians gathered in several famous bistros known for their fresh food and fine wines. With a wide range of delectable and delicious single-varietal wines, the brand perfectly embodies all the know-how of the French wine company Badet Cl\u00e9ment. The careful selection of grapes from various production regions throughout France guarantees balanced wines with a wide range of flavors and aromas.<\/p>\n

The young owners, the Delaunay couple, specialize in the development of branded wines. They are both oenologists, both grew up in traditional wine families in Burgundy, and both were educated in the New World. A couple, therefore, that looks beyond the length of Burgundy.
