It is a soft and accessible wine with some complexity, making it suitable for a casual drink as well as for connoisseurs who don't want to break the bank! La Villette Viognier is made from 100% Viognier grapes from the southern French Herault region in the south of the Minervois. It is a warm wine region here. However, combined with the fresh breeze blowing through the vineyard, this wine still possesses sufficient freshness. The <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/viognier\/\">Viognier<\/a>-grape is known for its warm and full bouquet of soft yellow fruit such as apricot, peach, and flowers, a low acidity, and distinct creaminess. The allure on the palate lies in the combination of floral notes of acacia flowers and lilies, and hints of yellow summer fruit. The wine ages for a few months in barrels on the lees for even more roundness.<\/p>\n<h3>Wine and food, or drinks..<\/h3>\n<p>Delicious in combination with firm fish, shellfish, and creamy pastas, and fantastic with spicy curries. But also a lovely glass to enjoy on its own. In any case, the price is no obstacle. We think it's a great price for such quality!<\/p>\n<h3>Maison de La Villette: from the Nuit-Saint-Georges, to the Languedoc<\/h3>\n<p>La Villete is a Badet Cl\u00e9ment winery founded in 1995 by winemakers Laurent and Catherine Delaunay. Originally based in Burgundy, its headquarters are in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Laurent and Catherine focus entirely on producing international-class wine from vineyards in French Burgundy, the Rh\u00f4ne Valley, Languedoc, and Provence. Sometimes a true expression of the terroir, at other times the grape takes center stage.<\/p>\n<p>Badet Cl\u00e9ment is the story of two wine geeks, passionate about the diversity of wines and vineyards. They are, after all, obsessed with their love for the earth and, at the same time, a penchant for perfection.
