The Menade Verdejo Rueda Nosso is made by the Sanz family and comes from a specially situated vineyard with a high limestone soil. A total of only 6,000 bottles were produced. It is noteworthy that no sulfites are added to the wine during winemaking. Furthermore, Menade does not use copper sulfate or sulfites in the vineyards. Fermentation also starts with natural fermentation without added yeasts. As a result, it is a 100% natural wine without any additives. A Vin Nature, in other words! Clear and translucent straw-yellow color with green hues. The aroma is bursting with concentrated Verdejo and mineral notes. Pronounced pure white fruit combines with attractive herbs such as bay leaf, thyme, and fennel. On the palate, dry, balanced, and tasty. A rich Verdejo<\/a> met een opvallende lange afdronk.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Menade\u2019s primary goal is for tradition and technology to work together and for our vines to be truly cherished. At Menade, therefore, they work in harmony with the environment, utilizing the many natural resources available, and practice \u2018healthcare\u2019 based on proven, centuries-old practical cultural practices. Consequently, Menade does not use chemical treatments. Instead, Menade opts for a natural approach consisting, for example, of plant infusions (nettles, cinnamon\u2026) or whey. These are kinder to the soil, plants, and naturally occurring yeasts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Using natural solutions, they manage to repel or attract insects. The vineyard ecosystem, for example, includes a series of mobile trees and shrubs, the long-term goal of which is to learn which trees are most beneficial in the many different vineyard plots. This allows them to build upon the existing biodiversity. The vineyard buzzes with life all year round. All these measures play an important role in Meneda's wines, because they not only taste good but also make you feel good, and they are both allergen- and histamine-free.<\/p>\n

\n

Terroir and winemaking<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
Verdejo<\/a> is made organically without the use of copper sulfate in the vineyards. The grapes for this come from various plots in and around Rueda that grow in pebbles, clay, and calcareous soil. The vines are between 20 and 25 years old. Menade uses only the grapes' own natural yeasts for the fermentation process. So, in addition to no added yeast, there is also no added sulfite. Completely pure!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
