The Donnafugata Sed\u00e0ra is a blend of Nero d\u2019Avola <\/a>grapes with, among other things, Cabernet Sauvignon<\/a>, Merlot <\/a>and Syrah<\/a>. The wine has an intense bouquet with pleasant aromas of red fruit such as cherry and plum, brought to life by a hint of black pepper. On the palate, we experience the perfect harmony between aroma and taste.<\/p>\n

Donnafugata Vineyards<\/h2>\n

The vineyards of Donnafugata<\/a> is located in Southwest Sicily in a hilly landscape at an altitude between 200 and 600 meters. The soil type is primarily sand mixed with limestone and various minerals. The vineyard is pruned manually.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

After manual pruning and selection of the grapes, they are gently pressed. Following fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine undergoes further aging in cement tanks for a period of 9 months. Subsequently, the wine is bottled and develops for a further 6 months in the bottle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Donnafugata Sed\u00e0ra<\/h2>\n

Ruby red wine, Sed\u00e0ra offers a fruity bouquet of cherries and plums with black pepper. The taste displays a fine structure with bright tannins and pleasant freshness. Soft red on the palate, versatile for food pairing, perfect for everyday enjoyment. You can confidently serve this wine at a party with friends or during a barbecue. It pairs wonderfully with pasta dishes, red meat, and fresh tuna.<\/p>\n

Vinous 91\/100 points:<\/strong> Deep red. Ripe aromas of red cherry and Oriental spices. Then fresh and juicy, but with a luscious quality to the super-ripe red and black cherry flavors that turn more austere in the middle. Finishes long and suave. This smells and tastes a lot like the 2018 Sherazade, only made from riper grapes.
