Great quality for a wonderfully low price. Delicious red fruit with a hint of spice on the nose. Smooth and full-bodied with a touch of sweetness. A red wine with an intense purple-red color. The aroma features red cherries and plums, some vanilla, and a spicy hint of cocoa. The taste is ripe and juicy. Lots of fruit, but also equipped with fresh acidity that creates an exciting balance. The few tannins in the wine are velvety smooth. All in all, a wonderfully smooth and fruity red wine with a soft finish. If you wish, you can chill this wine slightly for extra freshness. Perfect with spicy pasta, red meat, pizza, and aged cheeses.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>The Sangiovese grape is practically Italy's national grape variety for red wine. This grape grows abundantly, especially in Tuscany (central Italy). The Tuscan wines Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Tosso di Montepulciano are made from this grape. However, the Sangiovese grape is also found in Northern and Southern Italy. In Emilia Romagna, in the north, it produces very fresh, juicy food wines where the fruit practically jumps out of the glass. Sangiovese literally means the blood of Jupiter.
