The wine is made in <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/regio\/italie\/toscana-toscane\/\">Tuscany<\/a>, a famous wine region in Italy. The Italian wine critic Luca Maroni gives this wine a top score of 98 points. A deserved one! The wine has a beautiful soft, concentrated taste with a subtle sweetness. Due to a perfect interplay between juiciness, acidity and some ripe tannins, the taste is beautifully complex. What a great wine!<\/p>\n<h2>Made according to the centuries-old Tuscan Governo method.<\/h2>\n<p>Il Messo Governo Toscana Rosso is made using the Governo All\u2019uso Toscano method. Governo is a very old winemaking technique that was most likely invented in Tuscany in the 14th century. It is similar to the currently popular Passito method, in which harvested grapes are partially dried. According to this ancient Governo technique, which originated in Tuscany in the 14th century and was then called Governo All\u2019uso Toscano, partially dried grapes are used. After fermentation, the dried grapes are added to the must. A second fermentation occurs, giving the Governo Rosso Toscana wine power, depth, and complexity, and ensuring a beautiful, expressive aroma with plenty of fruit!<\/p>\n<h2>Tasting note Il Messo Governo Toscana<\/h2>\n<p>We recommend opening this wine half an hour before drinking. With some oxygen, the nose opens up gently and the aromas of cherries and blueberries are fully released. Il Messo Governo Rosso Toscana is made from Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, and you can taste it! On the nose, aromas of ripe cherries, forest fruits, plums, a touch of vanilla, and clove. The taste is wonderfully soft and concentrated, with cherries and plums taking the lead. On the finish, a hint of vanilla, plums, light spices, and toffee.
