This Primitivo is great to drink!<\/h2>\n

The Vigne Vecchie Leggenda wine has an intense ruby \u200b\u200bred color. On the nose, complex aromas of fruit, plums, and cherry jam with notes of tobacco and a light spice. This wine has a full body, soft and rich on the palate. Fine tannins provide just the right amount of structure. Flavors of cocoa, coffee, and vanilla come to the fore. This Vigne Vecchie (very old vines) is made from Primitivo<\/a> grapes, which are hand-picked. The vines are at least 75 years old. This beautiful wine ages for another 9 months in oak barrels. Delicious to pair with lamb, game dishes, and aged cheeses. Also a tasty wine for any convivial party!<\/p>\n

Farnese Vini<\/a> is the company behind the wine Vigne Vecchie Leggenda Primitivo de Manduria from Puglia<\/a>. It is a young company that, in just a few years\u2014constantly striving for the highest quality and marketing\u2014has gradually grown into one of the leading export companies in Southern Italy with a production of nearly 13 million bottles. Farnese's success is not only visible in the figures; the greater part of Farnese's reputation is due to national and international awards: for three consecutive years, Farnese has been named Company of the Year in the wine industry. Farnese wines have been awarded \u201cWine of the Year\u201d five times, and more than 30 international gold medals and trophies in recent years have solidified the company's reputation.<\/p>\n

At Farnese Vini, there is meticulous attention to every detail. Let us closely review the delicate phases of the harvest as practiced at Farnese Vini: all grapes are harvested by hand in the early, cool hours of the morning, before dawn has risen, with the aim of preserving maximum aromatic complexity; the whole bunches go immediately to the cellar and are entrusted to the expert hands of the oenologists who care for them, from vinification to the refinement and bottling of Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Malvasia Nera, and among the white grapes, Verdeca. Primitivo in Puglia<\/h2>\n

Primitivo<\/a> however, is not an originally Italian grape. Since this grape variety only came to Italy around the mid-19th century, for a long time it played a supporting role and was added to bulk wines to give them some extra power. Primitivo and Zinfandel are grape varieties that are often compared. This is because they are, in fact, the same grape. Both originate from Dalmatia (Croatia) and share the Tribidag grape as a grandparent. Zinfandel is the name the grape received when it emigrated to America, while Primitivo is the Italian variant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
