Domaine Salmon Sancerre, a French classic through and through!<\/h2>\n

Every wine drinker knows the Sancerre, that delicious, crisp, fresh, dry one. Sauvignon Blanc<\/a> from the Loire. Along with its neighbor Pouilly Fum\u00e9, Sancerre is one of the most famous wine regions in the world. This area, from which this Domaine Salmon Sancerre also originates, is known for its chalky soils that impart the white wines their characteristic properties. The Sauvignon Blanc reveals itself here in its purest form. A beautiful, clear green color and fine, complex aromas of citrus fruit, gooseberry (where can you still buy those?), asparagus, freshly cut green bell pepper, and freshly mown grass, along with the recognizable, crisp mineral character in the finish. On the palate, intensely fresh, and finally, somewhat minty in the aftertaste. Thirst-quenching and refreshing!<\/p>\n

Excellent classic white that pairs well as an aperitif with oysters, for example, and is classically delicious with a pot of mussels. An ideal combination with a fresh, acidic young goat cheese.<\/p>\n

Domaine Salmon<\/h3>\n

The ancestors of the current owners settled in Ch\u00e2teau-Th\u00e9baud near Nantes in the Loire Atlantique as early as 1766.
\nThe estate was founded in 1897. A long history, great \u201csavoir-faire\u201d, and a wine that is passed down from generation to generation in the Salmon family.<\/p>\n

The development of the Domaine Salmon<\/a> is accompanied by constant qualitative efforts to express the character and authenticity of its terroir. With its current wide range, it is appreciated by many. Domaine Salmon can claim to be a benchmark for quality and expertise in this appellation. The cultivation of the vines has remained traditional. Domaine Salmon has opted for cultivation techniques that respect the environment, such as natural grassing and soil tillage.
\nThe old vines with controlled yields therefore guarantee the excellence of an increasingly high-quality production.<\/p>\n

Work is carried out in the vineyards every day, allowing for rigorous and rational supervision. From pruning to harvesting to picking or thinning as needed, the vineyard is monitored with constant care for the best quality and expression of the terroir. The cellar is subsequently continuously transformed and equipped to execute and develop winemaking methods with the aim of fully expressing the full potential of the terroir and the passion of the Domaine Salmon winemaker. That is why the Domaine Salmon Sancerre is once again a magnificent example of a classic French wine.<\/p>\n
