Pinotage ros\u00e9 with a touch of white Muscat for just that extra fruitiness.<\/h2>\n

This Delheim Pinotage Ros\u00e9 is made from the national grape of South Africa: Pinotage. But there is just a tiny bit Muscat<\/a> (or Muscat) grapes are added. That Muscat is naturally very fruity and provides just that extra friendliness and a touch of sweetness to this Ros\u00e9. The grapes grow in the Coastal region where the oceans provide a fresh breeze. Beautiful light pink, not too dry with its 3 grams of residual sugar per liter, but bursting with summer fruit. It is delightful on the nose with lots of summery strawberry, cranberry, raspberry, redcurrant, grapefruit, and pomegranate. Nicely fresh and lively with just the right acidic backbone. Drink it on a summer day at a picnic in the park or on the beach. It also goes perfectly in the backyard with a summery Gazpacho or a piece of salmon \u201cen papillote\u201d<\/a>. Also goes well with Asian meals such as Peking duck.<\/p>\n

It all begins with the harvest, which takes place in one of the estate's 120-hectare vineyards. Pinotage and Muscat bunches are carefully gathered under the strict supervision of the oenologist. Only the best make it through the selection! The grapes are macerated on their skins for a few hours and then fermented to the beautiful pink color; it is then bottled to preserve their flavor and juiciness. A ros\u00e9 to be opened immediately at the first rays of sunshine.<\/p>\n

Sustainability comes first with this Ros\u00e9 wine!<\/h3>\n

Our Delheim Pinotage Ros\u00e9 is one of the first wines in South Africa with the world's first sustainability seal as a guarantee of environmentally friendly production.<\/p>\n

As of 2010, the voluntary system is available to those wineries that have successfully obtained accreditation for a set of sustainable principles of Integrated Wine Production (IPW), at the level of the farm, the winery, and bottling. IPW covers a range of topics, such as integrated pest management, worker health, biodiversity conservation, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n

The South African wine industry has launched the world's first sustainability seal as a guarantee of environmentally friendly production. The seal, with a unique number, issued by the South African Wine and Spirit Board, is intended exclusively for bottled wines (so no bulk wines). This is supported by an advanced track and trace system that allows the contents of the bottle to be tracked back to the source at every stage of the supply chain.
