When you think of Italian bubbles, most people think of Prosecco. But forget Prosecco! This sparkling wine is different and didn't win a bronze award at the Italian Millisime for nothing! This bubbly wine has a nice dry taste and a pleasant, floral character with fresh citrus. Almost too good to be true. If you love bubbles, you should definitely try this one. And for this price!!<\/p>\n<h2>About Feudo di Santa Tresa<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.santatresa.com\/it\/i-vini-di-santa-tresa\/vini\/il-grillo\/\">Feudo di Santa Tresa<\/a> is a family business of the Girelli family. The winery has existed since 1697 and covers approximately 50 hectares. This wine is a testament to the dedication and skills of the Girelli family. They have been working organically for many years, but only received official certification in 2009. The vineyards are located near the town of Vittoria, in southern Sicily. The grapes grow on the fertile volcanic soil of Mount Etna. As a result, the soil, known as 'terra rossa', is red in color and gives the wine a pleasant mineral character.<\/p>\n<h2>Il grillo di Santa Tresa Spumante Brut<\/h2>\n<p>On the tasting table, the particularly beautifully shaped bottle caught our eye. We know that it makes no difference to the taste, but appearances matter too, and a beautifully shaped bottle certainly enhances the festive mood. It certainly helps when you are drinking a fine fizz! This Spumante Brut is made from 100% Grillo grapes. <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/druif\/grillo\/\">Grillo<\/a> is a popular grape in Sicily. In white wine, this grape is fresh and dry. However, the sweet dessert\/cooking wine Marsala is also made from the Grillo grape.<\/p>\n<h2>Taste and food pairing<\/h2>\n<p>Il Grillo di Santa Tresa Spumante Brut has a delightful bouquet of wild spring flowers, nectarine, and white peach. The aroma features fresh, crisp citrus. Citrus contributes to the vitality and balance of the wine. The wine also has hints of roasted nuts on the nose, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/wijnclubamsterdam.nl\/en\/kenmerk\/regio\/italie\/lombardia-lombardije\/franciacorta\/\">Franciacorta<\/a> and Champagne have that. The taste is dry and clean, with a refreshing acidity.
