Barolo Cru Bussia, a phenomenon!<\/h2>\n

Barolo<\/a> wines are an institution, a wine that ranks among the most famous in the world. It is also a wine that can show very large differences among themselves, in terms of quantity, quality, and character. The region comprises many subzones with unique characteristics, a large part of which has been mapped out, both literally and figuratively. These subzones, known as Bricco and comparable to the crus of France, are therefore given different names. Bussia is one such example. This Prunotto Barolo Bussia originates from there and displays a very specific character that sets it apart from other Briccos from this region. Truly a unique phenomenon!<\/p>\n

The Prunotto Barolo Bussia has a somewhat lighter color with an orange tinge and displays very juicy and sweet cherry, plum, licorice, tobacco, and some roasted orange aromas. Further highlights in this powerful red are medicinal herbs, iron, and menthol notes. The solid backbone of tannins and wood impressions offers support and commands respect. We certainly wouldn't call this a wine for wimps. It can be a tough guy! A wine to sink your teeth into, or conversely, to be lustfully seduced by after aging for at least 10 years. It is the slowly proverbial \"iron fist in a silk glove.\" Truly fantastic and a must with hearty meat dishes: Hare ragout, saddle of hare, wild boar leg, naturally all garnished with Barolo's great friend: The truffle!<\/a><\/p>\n

Briccos, what are they?<\/h3>\n

Many, many years ago, farmers knew the characteristics of their land and knew exactly what properties the different plots possessed. Later, winegrowers also recognized the diversity among the various vineyards and gave most of them their own names to affirm their distinct identity. Over the centuries, these local names acquired an official status, of which mentions. De Bussia is a historic vineyard in the municipality of Monforte d\u2019Alba that grew from 100 to 200 hectares over the years, placing it among the very greatest crus in the DOCG Barolo.<\/p>\n

The Nebbiolo grape from which the wine is made requires a great deal of maintenance and thrives in specific climatic conditions. That is why it can flourish nowhere as well as on the slopes of Piedmont. Just like its Pinot Noir counterpart, the Nebbiolo grape thus reveals the subtleties of its terroir.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
