Een wijnhuis met prijzen<\/h2>\n

Het familiebedrijf Baglio del Cristo di Campobello voert samen met een handjevol andere producenten de ranglijst van Siciliaanse kwaliteitsproducenten aan. Hun wijnen hebben intussen internationaal veel belangstelling en winnen veel wijnprijzen. De Baglio del Cristo di Campobello Terre Siciliane IGP C’D’C bianco heeft zelfs een Oscar<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Berebene van Gambero Rosso gewonnen.<\/p>\n

De eigen kalkrijke wijngaarden liggen in het dorpje Licata in de provincie Agrigento op\u00a0Sicily<\/a>, vlakbij de Valle dei Templi. Ze liggen op een heuvel die 230 tot 270 meter boven zeeniveau stijgt. Op deze heuvel staat bovendien een groot houten beeld van Christus aan het kruis, tweehonderd jaar geleden geplaatst\u00a0. In de loop der jaren werd het zelfs een bedevaartsoord voor wijnbouwers die er komen bidden voor de kwaliteit van hun wijn zodra de vinificatie afgerond is.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

De combinatie van kennis met passie en toewijding levert de familie, onder leiding van Carmelo Bonetta, wijnen op van zeer hoge kwaliteit. De namen van hun wijnen worden voornamelijk ontleend aan het Siciliaanse dialect. Er wordt vanaf het begin er naar gestreefd om wijnen te maken met een sterke expressie en persoonlijkheid. Carmelo tracht daarnaast het potentieel van het terroir volledig te benutten. Dit doen ze door een groot deel van de aandacht van hun werk in eerste instantie naar de wijngaard gaat en vervolgens naar het werk in de kelder. Ze respecteren wat de aarde hun geeft door middel van lage rendementen en beperkte producties. De kelder heeft state-of-the- art installaties en barriques uit de Franse wouden van Allier, Tron\u00e7ais en Nevers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Smaak en geur<\/h3>\n

De C’D’C Bianco is gemaakt van een combinatie van vier druivensoorten:\u00a0<\/span>Chardonnay, Grillo, Insolia en Catarratto<\/span>.\u00a0Geuren van gele bloemen, witte meloen, lichte honing. Een beetje ‘vettig’ van de Chardonnay.<\/span>\u00a0Goed\u00a0gebalanceerd mondgevoel met een fris zuurtje in de afdronk.<\/span>\u00a0Ook heeft de wijn iets kruidigs van zoete specerijen en mediterrane kruiden.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
