A top winery from Sicily<\/h2>\n

The family business Baglio del Cristo di Campobello tops the ranking of Sicilian quality producers together with a handful of other producers. This is also the case with the Baglio del Cristo di Campobello Terre Siciliane IGT C\u2019D\u2019C Rosso.<\/p>\n

The estate's own limestone vineyards are located in the village of Licata in the province of Agrigento on Sicily<\/a>, near the Valley of the Temples. They are situated on a hill that rises 230 to 270 meters above sea level. Moreover, a large wooden statue of Christ on the cross stands on this hill, placed there two hundred years ago by a farmer. Over the years, it even became a place of pilgrimage for winemakers who come there to pray for the quality of their wine once vinification is complete.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The combination of sound knowledge with passion and dedication yields wines of very high quality for the family, led by Carmelo Bonetta. The names of their wines are primarily derived from the Sicilian dialect. From the very beginning, the aim has been to produce wines with strong expression and personality. Carmelo seeks to fully utilize the potential of the terroir. They achieve this by directing a large part of their work primarily to the vineyard and subsequently to the work in the cellar. They respect what the earth gives them through low yields and limited production. The cellar features state-of-the-art facilities and barriques from the French forests of Allier, Tron\u00e7ais, and Nevers.<\/p>\n

The C\u2019D\u2019C Rosso is made from a combination of four grape varieties: Nero d\u2019Avola, Syrah,\u00a0<\/span>Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The color is p<\/span>urplish-red with violet reflections. The fragrance contains a lot<\/span>\u00a0fruit, such as amarene cherries.\u00a0<\/span>It is a round, full-bodied, and soft wine, with good acidity and sweet tannins. Ready to drink now, but can\u00a0<\/span>can certainly be kept for another 2-3 years.<\/span><\/p>\n
