Een betere Amarone in deze prijsklasse ga je niet snel vinden<\/h2>\n

Amarone della Valpolicella is de meest prestigieuze rode wijn van Veneto. De vier broers die Tenuta Sant’Antonio zijn begonnen, dragen hun beste wijn, de Tenuta Sant\u2019Antonio Amarone della Valpolicella Selezione op aan hun vader, Antonio Castagnedi. Dus ook in ieder geval een prachtig cadeau voor uw vader bijvoorbeeld. Een neus met heerlijke donkere chocolade, en rijp donker fruit erin, met laagjes gepolijste tannines. Een verfijnde, fruitige, minerale afdronk. Deze volle Amarone is goed uitgebalanceerd. Ronde tannines, warm en zacht, vol van smaak, met laagjes gepolijste tannines en een verfijnde, fruitige, minerale afdronk. Heerlijk bij een gegrilde rib-eye gemarineerd in Aceto Balsamico siroop.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Deze\u00a0 Tenuta Sant\u2019Antonio Amarone della Valpolicella Selezione produceert men met druiven uit de steden Mezzane di Sotto uit het district Monti Garbi, het historische gebied van de productie van Valpolicella Classico. De beste druiven van verschillende wijngaarden zijn voor deze wijn geselecteerd. Daarna naar de droogruimte van de wijnmakerij gebracht om het appassimento-proces te ondergaan. Na minstens 3 maanden drogen zijn de druiven verschrompeld en hebben ze veel van hun water verloren, terwijl ze hun suiker, smaak en andere componenten hebben behouden. Eenmaal gefermenteerd en gerijpt in nieuwe vaten, is de Amarone<\/a> een krachtige wijn, maar toch fruitig, fris en schoon. Dit helpt de tannines zich te concentreren en produceert full-body, zijdezachte wijnen met een groot verouderingspotentieel. Daarna rijpt de wijn meer dan 2 jaar in eikenhouten barrique.<\/p>\n

Amarone’s origine<\/h3>\n

Officieel heeft de Amarone della Valpolicella geen lange geschiedenis. De eerste fles met de naam Amarone kwam uit het jaar 1938. Het duurde echter nog tot 1953 voor de offici\u00eble verkoop. De geschiedenis van de Recioto (waar de Amarone uit voortgekomen is) is echter wat langer. Van de Recioto sprak men al in de tijd van de Romeinen. De druivensoort ‘retica’ die men gebruikte\u00a0 om een krachtige volle rode wijn te produceren is al in de 2de eeuw voor Christus genoemd door Lucius Iunius Moderatus Columella, een auteur van landbouwkundige boeken destijds. Hoe Amarone precies uit de Recioto is overgekomen is onbekend, maar het gerucht gaat dat Amarone is ontdekt door een per ongeluk vergeten vat met Recioto die door is blijven gisten waardoor de suikers veranderden in alcohol en de wijn sterker en droger werd dan bedoeld.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
