Luscious red fruit, raisins and full of flavor<\/h2>\n

The Baglio Gibellina U Passimiento is a red wine in which you can taste the sultry South Italian climate. Bursting with luscious red fruit. The aroma features very concentrated dark red fruit and plenty of cherry. Warm flavors of vanilla and oak are also present. A touch of residual sweetness from the dried grapes gives this wine a friendly effect. What a spectacular wine for a great price.<\/p>\n

The wine comes from the island of Sicily and is made from two grapes: Nero d'Avola<\/a> (70%) and Frappato<\/a> (30%). These grapes are the most famous local red grape varieties of the island. Less common, but very successful, is the vinification process used. The Frappato is harvested relatively early, with the result that much freshness is preserved. The Nero d\u2019Avola, on the other hand, is left on the vine for a long time.<\/p>\n

On the windy island, the grapes dry on the vine and are only picked when they are very ripe and high in sugar. This is often not until the end of autumn. First, a portion of the grapes is dried further according to the \u2018Passimiento\u2019 method. Subsequently, the grapes are successively pressed and vinified, and the wine ages in oak for several months. Only when the wines from both grape varieties have fully developed are they blended to create the Baglio Gibellina U Passimiento.<\/p>\n

The dried grapes give the Baglio Gibellina U Passimiento a powerful and unique flavor. A full-bodied wine with plenty of dried fruit such as fig, raisin, currant, and black cherry, with soft tannins. Because the wine is very accessible, it pairs easily with many dishes. Pasta, pizza, or simply a piece of meat. This wine makes everything just that little bit tastier. This wine is highly recommended if you want to put something special on the table. And certainly for this price!<\/p>\n
