Wonderful long aftertaste with soft ripe tannins. The Brunello di Montalcino is a red wine that received the protected designation of origin DOC in 1967. In 1980 the wine obtained DOCG status. The production zone is limited to the territory of the municipality of Montalcino in the south of the province of Sienna. The Brunello di Montalcino is one of the most appreciated and precious Italian wines. A bottle from a good year can cost hundreds of euros. This is truly a gourmet wine. A classic wine for hearty classic dishes such as roast beef from the oven and pasta sauces <a href=\"https:\/\/madebyellen.com\/wild-zwijn-recept-wild-zwijn-ragout\/\">wild boar ragout.<\/a> Also delicious with Ossobuco.<\/p>\n<p>The name of his wine is inspired by the Latin \u2018frigidi\u2019 for \u2018windy fields\u2019.
