It is a good entry-level wine from the 2020 vintage in the Northern Rh\u00f4ne. And it doesn't require long aging like its big brothers Hermitage and C\u00f4te Rotie. It is deliciously drinkable right away. The Delas Fr\u00e8res Crozes Hermitage Les Launes has a deep garnet red color. Immediately, a lovely open nose of blueberries and cherries with hints of smoke and black pepper. A soft tannin structure and fresh acidity give the wine a playful feel. Medium-bodied, supple, and easy to drink, with a soft, silky texture finish. Lightly juicy finish, with enough red fruit character. The tannin structure is clearly present, ensuring good aging potential. James Suckling gives it a nice 90 points.<\/p>\n
This wine pairs well with grilled meats such as spare ribs or a leg of lamb rubbed with Proven\u00e7al herbs. It is also perfect for winter with a good braised beef stew.<\/p>\n
