Webshop software

Our webshop is developed using WooCommerce software. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services is not shared with this party. WooCommerce does use cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored.

Webhosting

We have chosen Ambitic in the Netherlands for our web hosting. Personal data that you make available to us for the purpose of our services is shared with this party. Ambitic has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have concluded with them, Ambitic is obliged to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent data loss. 

Email and mailing lists

Our website uses Mailblue, a Dutch company that handles the sending of newsletters. At the bottom of every automatically sent email newsletter, you will see the ‘unsubscribe’ link. If you click on this, you will no longer receive email newsletters from us. Mailblue may use cookies and other internet technologies to track whether emails are opened and read. Wijnclubamsterdam.nl reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services.

All confirmation emails you receive for orders on our website and web forms are sent via our own servers in the Netherlands. Your personal data is stored securely by us.

We use our own mail server for our regular business email traffic. We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. We treat all our email traffic confidentially and third parties have .

  

Payment service provider

To process (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and place of residence details, as well as your payment details, such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in that context, to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie’s services for which it engages third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than permitted by statutory retention periods.

  

Customer reviews

We collect reviews via the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this data with us so that we can link the review to your order. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to provide clarification on your review. In the event that we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They use this data solely for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to engage third parties for the purpose of providing the services; we have given WebwinkelKeur permission to do so. Shipping and logistics

When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to carry out deliveries. To do so, it is necessary for us to share your name, address, and city/town details with PostNL. PostNL uses this data solely for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

  

Invoicing and bookkeeping

We use the services of Informer to maintain our administration and accounting. We share your name, address, and place of residence details, as well as details regarding your order, in our account on this platform. This data is used solely for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely. Informer is bound by confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially.

 

Purpose of data processing

We use your data exclusively for the purpose of providing our services. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time—other than at your request—we will ask for your explicit permission to do so. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality pursuant to the agreement between them and us, or by an oath or legal obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (for example, your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations

In certain cases, Wijnclubamsterdam.nl may be required by law to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by government authorities. In such a case, we are compelled to share your data, but we will resist this within the limits of the law.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. We maintain a record of processed requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we record anonymized data. You will receive all transcripts and copies of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You have the right at all times to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

Right of inspection

You always have the right to view the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to your person or is traceable to you. You can submit a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address known to us, along with an overview of the processors holding this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

Right of rectification

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to your person or is traceable to you, amended. You can submit a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data has been amended.

Right of objection and other rights

If you object, we will immediately cease data processing pending the handling of your objection.
