The Lunaria Costi di Moro is a bliolosche red wine made from 100% Montepulciano grape with a short wood aging. Lots of delicious red and black fruit pouring out of your glass! Spicy, vanilla and even some cocoa. It is a bargain with a wild bull on the bottle, but the Lunaria Coste di Moro Montepulciano is really a beastly delicious red wine. Delicious to drink on its own, but also highly recommended with meat and pasta.

The Coste di Moro (in Dutch: dark coasts) is made in the Abuzzo region, just below the center of Italy. This wine received a silver medal at the Munus Vino wine competition. Lunaria is a biodynamic wine company (Demeter certified).

What does the Lunaria Coste di Moro Montepulciano taste like?

The wine has a wonderful scent of black fruit with the typical spiciness of the Montepulciano grape. The taste is round, sultry, fruity and spicy! Intense aromas of ripe cherries, sweetened red fruit and plums that drift through four months of maturation in oak barrels. You also smell something of toast and chocolate. The soft bitters and acids are beautifully balanced and give the wine body and strength. Intense and soft taste, without strong tannins.

The Lunaria Coste di Moro is intense, full and velvety in taste. A sultry, concentrated fruity taste with some earthy spiciness and a chocolate accent. Mmmmmmm….!!! The aftertaste is soft and sweet with a slightly nutty bitterness.

About the winery Cantina Orsogna – Lunaria

Cantina Orsogna is a cooperative with more than 600 partners in the Abruzzo wine region. Within the cooperative, Lunaria has its own character. They make beautiful, pure wines, each with its own story. The wines come from the area located 15 km from the Adriatic coast near the 2nd highest mountain in the Apennines, Majella. The vineyards are on average between 300 and 450 meters altitude.

At Lunaria, all grapes are grown exclusively biodynamically and each label symbolizes an animal. Lunaria takes sustainability and biodynamics very seriously. The Demeter quality mark shows that the wines meet high standards in this area.

Wine / food

You can enjoy wine from this glass without a meal, but a juicy (barbecue) steak with rich red wine sauce would not look out of place. Just like a rich snack board with dried sausage, ditto ham and other Italian foreplay by the way.
