Cherries, earthy notes, leather, tobacco, licorice, and a hint of pepper — this is Brunello in its purest form. The Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino is a masterpiece from the world-famous Tuscan wine region of Montalcino in Tuscany. Made from 100% Sangiovese sourced from seven unique terroirs, this wine combines power and finesse in an unparalleled way. Since 1978, the estate has proudly produced its signature White Label Brunello – a wine that effortlessly unites elegance and character.
Aged for no less than 43 months in wood, this Brunello displays impressive complexity that fascinates now and will only deepen with further cellaring. A true embodiment of the passion and tradition of Casanova di Neri. Also try their Rosso di Montalcino!
In the glass, the wine shines a bright ruby red. The nose opens with lively aromas of cherries and floral notes, complemented by subtle mineral nuances. On the palate, a juicy ensemble unfolds where fresh acidity meets ripe forest fruit. The structure is precise, supported by silky-smooth, refined tannins.
Its fruity character is enhanced by a touch of spice and an elegant hint of oak. The finish is long, vibrant, and beautifully harmonious — a Brunello that invites slow, attentive discovery.
Serve at 18–20 °C for an optimal experience.
Casanova di Neri was founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri, one of the first to recognize the unique potential of Montalcino. Today, his son Giacomo leads the estate with the same vision and dedication. The property covers 500 hectares, of which 63 hectares are vineyards spread across seven terroirs with diverse soils and microclimates.
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and strictly selected both before and after destemming. Fermentation takes place in conical, temperature-controlled tanks, followed by a 23-day maceration. The wine then matures for 43 months in carefully chosen wooden barrels — a combination of tradition and precision that ensures the purest expression of Sangiovese.
The 2020 vintage experienced a mild winter and a normal spring, with ideal conditions for flowering and fruit set. The summer was warm and sunny without extreme heat, allowing the grapes to ripen evenly and slowly. Harvest took place in October, yielding wines of exceptional balance, finesse, and length.
The Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino 2020 combines classic Tuscan strength with modern precision — a wine with great ageing potential and a captivating elegance that already shines in the glass.
