The Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII has a broad aroma featuring exotic fruit as well as white and red fruit and melon, along with characteristic floral impressions. A clean taste with refined minerality, elegance, and a pleasantly fresh finish. On the palate, there is a nice richness that makes it just slightly off-dry. But what length and a broad taste experience! The Cuvée XII is an absolutely mature wine from the Low Countries.

This wine is a blend made from 40% Müller-Thurgau, 30% Auxerrois, and 30% Pinot Gris. Blending grapes has become increasingly popular in white wine over the last 25 years. As a winemaker, you can distinguish yourself, as it were, with your own recipe, and it can also be constantly adapted to the consumer's taste.

The Cuvée XII is versatile. It is particularly well-suited as an excellent wine for asparagus. Additionally, it pairs well with salmon "en papillotte", slightly exotic dishes such as Thai salad with sweet and sour dressing, and is also excellent with white mold cheeses like farmhouse Brie and Camembert.

The Dutch wine

At the Apostelhoeve, one of Limburg's most beautiful spots atop the Louwberg, sits Limburg's oldest and one of the largest wine estates in the Netherlands. The Apostelhoeve wine estate currently comprises 14 hectares. Five different grape varieties are planted here: Müller-Thurgau, Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and since 2020, Viognier.

Harvest year/vintage 2023:

Once again this year, the Cuvée XII looks radiant! Although this wine can age beautifully, it is certainly ready to drink now. The familiar luscious notes of peach, pear, and apricot are paired with citrus, elderflower, and a lovely minerality. The finish is versatile and moderately long.

The 2023 vintage has already received a 4.2 on Vivino.
