Elegant, fresh. An ideal winner for the summer!

San Marzano I Tratturi Chardonnay is a Chardonnay from the deep south of Italy. Here, you won't find a heavy balance or an alcohol bomb, but rather a modern wine produced by one of the better winemakers in Puglia! A special place for this grape, which is of French origin. Despite the abundance of sunshine, the wine is fresh in taste and beautifully balanced! The San Marzano cooperative is certainly up to the task! By harvesting at night, the fresh aromas and acidity are preserved. Add special vinification techniques to that, and you have a delicious glass of wine at a great price.

The aroma is full of fruit, such as passion fruit, mango, and other tropical fruits. The wine has a beautiful, long finish. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented at a very low temperature with selected yeast strains. Precisely to allow the fruity and floral aromas to prevail over the buttery notes of a ChardonnayWith plenty of freshness and well chilled, we have a dangerously easy-drinking wine here. This San Marzano I Tratturi Chardonnay is excellent for an aperitivo or antipasti. Try it with the grilled grapes with burrata by Ottolenghi.

Cantina San Marzano. 1,200 affiliated farmers with a common goal: quality!

The soil type and the Mediterranean climate play a fundamental role at San Marzano in the production of high-quality wines. It is not an easy environment: the drought, the frost in winter, and the harsh Scirocco wind. But at Cantina San Marzano, they have the knowledge to handle this properly and produce beautiful, high-quality wines.

In 1962, 19 winegrowers from San Marzano joined forces and founded “Cantine San Marzano”. At the time, it was an emergency measure due to widespread poverty and fragmentation among many small tenant farmers. Today, this cooperative numbers more than 1,200 growers and utilizes modern and technologically advanced facilities without compromising Puglia’s very old wine tradition.
