The grapes for this Sauvignon Blanc come from four different terroirs: the Hérault plain, which provides the wine's fruitiness and roundness; the Gard and Aude valleys for more complex aromas; and the eastern part of the Aude region, a somewhat cooler area, which lends freshness and crispness to the wine. This Sauvignon Blanc from La Villette winery has a greenish-yellow color. It has a fruity and fresh aroma, with a hint of passion fruit and undertones of lemon and flowers. The wine has a fresh, light taste and structure. It is a beautiful aromatic wine with a delicious, juicy finish. Drink this wine as an aperitif, or paired with young goat cheese. However, it also goes perfectly with grilled fish sprinkled with lemon juice.
La Villette winery is known for its excellent price-quality ratio. They produce abundant wines with an authentic French character for drinkers worldwide. La Villette is a Badet Clément winery and was founded in 1995 by winemakers Laurent and Catherine Delaunay. It is originally based in Burgundy, with its headquarters in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Laurent and Catherine focus entirely on making international-class wine from the vineyards of French Burgundy, the Rhône Valley, Languedoc, and Provence. Sometimes a true expression of the terroir, at other times the grape takes center stage.
The goal of the winemakers at La Villette is to produce a wine with an authentic French character for wine connoisseurs all over the world. Additionally, they aim to create a flavorful wine with a consumer-friendly taste and reliable packaging. Thanks to the “Vin de France” label, it is possible to use the best grapes from all over France for this wine. The winemakers are also free to blend grapes, thereby bringing new and surprising wines to the market. Consequently, these wines guarantee good quality and represent progressive new wines.
