    A classic from the South.

The San Marzano I Tratturi Negroamaro Puglia is truly one of those glasses you gladly pour yourself an extra one of. No harsh edges, everything in its place, and a delightful sense of coming home. Aromas of wild strawberries, black cherries with their pits (resulting in a scent of a heat-like cushion), spices, and thyme on the nose. A full-bodied wine that is soft and well-balanced. A pleasant glass of wine with a delightful sun-drenched fruit experience and a beautiful, soft finish.

The San Marzano I Tratturi Negroamaro Puglia comes from vineyards 100 meters above sea level and always enjoys a fresh sea breeze. The harvest here is also always done by hand for a better selection of the grape material. The wine is not aged in wood after fermentation. Everything for the delicious freshness! After the primitivo, the Negroamaro grape is the pride of Puglia and also Salento. San Marzano knows this and can also create stunning wines from it. We regularly open a bottle of fantastic Italian wine on Friday afternoon. a favorite of everyone. Don't make it difficult! Just a nice glass of wine from Italy.

    Cantine San Marzano

In 1962, 19 winegrowers from San Marzano joined forces and founded “Cantine San Marzano.” Today, this cooperative numbers more than 1,200 growers. They utilize modern and technologically advanced facilities without compromising Puglia’s very old wine tradition. San Marzano is located in Puglia, in the heart of the highly acclaimed DOC “Primitivo di Manduria,” between two seas (the Ionian and the Adriatic). The provinces of Taranto and Brindisi offer a landscape where vineyards and olive trees grow side by side on a red soil (Terra rossa). This soil and the Mediterranean terroir play an essential role in the production of high-quality wines. The climate is extreme, with challenging conditions: drought, frost, and Sirocco winds. Nevertheless, these passionate winemakers ensure that even grapes from the oldest vineyards yield full-bodied and elegant wines through sound vineyard management.
