Coravin needles are specially designed hollow needles to pierce natural or agglomerated cork. This allows you to pour the wine without having to open the bottle. The Coravin Three Needle Kit contains three separate needles, suitable for any bottle or situation: the Fast Pour needle, the Vintage needle, and the Standard needle. The needles can be used on Coravin systems except Timeless Eleven and the Pivot system. Each needle is made of durable stainless steel with a smooth, non-stick coating. This makes the needles durable and easy to insert for hundreds of pours! The needles are easy to change thanks to the smart textured grip on top of each needle.

Please note: these needles are not compatible with the Coravin Timeless Model Eleven and Pivot.

Fast Pour-naald

This needle can be recognized by the red band on the needle grip. The Fast Pour needle is a wider needle with thin walls for smooth, fast pouring. You can pour up to 20% faster with this needle than with the standard needle. This needle is recommended for use on corks that are goede staat zijn.

Vintage needle

You can recognize the Vintage Needle by the silver band on the needle handle. The thinner design is ideal for older vintage bottles in your collection. This needle can be gently inserted into potentially weaker corks. Essential for oude, zwakke kurken.

Standard needle

The Standard Needle is used for most bottles and situations. This needle is also included as standard with all Coravin Systems, except Model Eleven.

How do you replace the needles?

Step 1: Grasp the needle grip (the thicker, black piece on top of the needle) and unscrew it to remove the needle from the system.

Step 2: Slide the pointed end of the new needle into the needle grip. Screw the needle holder grip onto the system.

The system is now ready for use!

What is a Coravin?
