    Delicious, no-nonsense Chardonnay from Burgundy

Peach, citrus, stone fruit, pear and a hint of almond: truly a soft and elegant wine to enjoy. The Daniel Pollier Saint-Véran is made of 100% Chardonnay and comes from the small estate of the Pollier family in the heart of Fuissé in the Burgundy, central France. The wine feels soft and creamy, with a subtle buttery mouthfeel and a hint of flint that provides character and tension. It is a classic Burgundy that you can confidently pair with a delicious fish meal or shellfish.

    In short:

    • Aromas: peach, pear, flowers, almond, flint
    • Grape: 100% Chardonnay
    • Character: creamy, soft, slightly buttery, characterful finish
    • Delicious with: shellfish, white fish, pork

    Versatile at the table

The Daniel Pollier Saint-Véran has an aroma that starts fresh and floral. Notes of ripe fruit and a hint of toast then emerge. On the palate, the wine feels round and soft, with a creamy texture and fine minerality. The light oiliness makes it accessible and pleasant, while the chalky soil ensures a fresh finish. This wine is ideal for both a relaxed dinner and a festive occasion.

    Food and wine pairings:

    • Grilled or fried white fish
    • Mussels or other shellfish
    • Pork dishes, for example, a tender roasted pork tenderloin
    • Creamy risotto with mushrooms
    • White meat with light sauces

About Domaine Daniel Pollier and the terroir

The Domaine Daniel Pollier It has been run by the Pollier family for four generations and covers only 8 hectares in Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé. The Chardonnay grapes grow on calcareous soils, which gives the wine freshness, finesse, and a light minerality. The climate in the somewhat warmer Mâconnais region ensures a longer growing season and good ripening of the grapes. Vinification is traditional: after the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed, followed by controlled fermentation in stainless steel. A short aging on the fine lees (yeast) gives the wine extra roundness and complexity, without losing freshness.

Domaine Daniel Pollier produces wines that combine classic Burgundy characteristics with accessibility. Those who enjoy a different style from the Mâconnais can also try Macon-Villages van Domaine Pollier for a slightly richer variant.
