The Champagne Jean Moutardier Brut Rosée is a beautiful pink, lively, and fresh in the glass. This champagne has a velvety bubble that remains visible for a long time. You smell and taste spring with a bouquet of red fruits and cut flowers. A delightful champagne and a good example of a young champagne in bloom.
The champagne house is located over 100 km east of Paris in the village of Le Breuil, in the Surmelin valley. Here at this family business, far away from the typical wine routes, a magnificent range of wines of true top quality and great personality is produced. Eighty percent of this champagne house's vineyards are planted with the Pinot Meunier grape, and the Moutardier family is known as undisputed connoisseurs of this grape variety.
With grapes sourced from first-class slopes, the family produces three pure Meunier champagnes: the Cuvée Rosée, the Carte d’Or Brut, and the Millésimé. In all three, you can taste how the Pinot Meunier grape expresses itself in a velvety, intense champagne with a perfect balance of fruit and freshness.
You generally won't find a vintage year on champagne bottles because, during the blending of champagne, it is customary to combine grapes from different harvests and different years for the best result. Therefore, you won't see a vintage year on the bottle of the Moutardier family champagnes either, except for the Millésimé.
This Champagne Jean Moutardier Brut Rosée is delicious to pair with roast chicken, red fruit, or raspberry cake.
