White Burgundy… not for nothing so beloved by all gastronomes.

For Louis Jadot Bourgogne Chardonnay, wines from both... Côte d’Or, Chalonnais as well as Mâconnais (Saint-Véran). Partly fermented and aged in oak, partly in steel, this harmonious wine combines the fresh fruitiness of peach, pear, and grapefruit with the roundness of wood aging: buttercup and vanilla notes. Chardonnay has traveled the world, but it is in its native Burgundy that it finds its best expression. This expertly crafted version delivers flavors of yellow apple, citrus, and lime peel, with a hint of oak. This Chardonnay is ready to drink, although bottle aging will make the wine gastronomically more interesting. After a few years, more complex aromas and flavors will have developed, allowing even heartier dishes to pair effortlessly with this white charmer. Delicious with chicken served with mushroom sauce, turkey, or trout topped with tarragon butter. ,,,,

    Maison Louis Jadot

Maison Louis Jadot was founded in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. Originally primarily a trading house, it now owns more than 225 hectares of its own vineyards. The total range includes wines from Chablis, Côte d’Or, Côte Chalonnaise, Mâconnais, and Beaujolais, in the latter case usually produced at their own Château des Jacques. The guiding principle for all wines is that every vineyard has its own characteristics and that the terroir is therefore the guiding principle. For this reason, nature is allowed to take its course as much as possible, and winemaker Frédéric Barnier strives to intervene as little as possible during the vinification process. As a result, there is no such thing as a generic ‘Jadot style’. Every Louis Jadot wine has its own character, as is the case with this “regular” Louis Jadot Bourgogne Chardonnay.
