Raspberry, redcurrant, citrus, and a hint of rose. Then comes some spiciness from thyme, some blackberry, and blossom. This crisp salmon-pink rosé is delicious! Yes, indeed, we are crazy about this rosé. This is a treat, and the MAD Rosé leaves many other, more expensive rosés far behind. This is a high-quality rosé from Provence at a very competitive price. No frills and a hip image.
Light salmon pink in color, as befits a Provençal rosé. In the glass, we immediately smell pear and red fruit, orange and pink grapefruit! A touch of spiciness runs through it as well. On the palate, this MAD Mediterranee Rosé takes you to a summer afternoon lunch filled with pure relaxation.
It is a very lighthearted feeling with this wine in the glass. With this luxury Rosé in a chic designer bottle, you immediately imagine yourself by the Mediterranean. This wine wins awards every year and costs less than €10. A real summer winner. An excellent aperitif, but also delicious with Asian dishes such as Peking Duck and other dishes containing soy. Prawns, tuna sashimi, and grilled or BBQ vegetable skewers.
MAD is a rosé made by Château l’Arnaude in Provence. It is made with grapes from a very old vineyard. Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah. The old vineyards have deep roots, enabling them to withstand the warm afternoons in the south of France. As a result, moisture or water is always available. The natural hills provide the bunches with great freshness because the wind from the sea blows easily through the vineyard. Consequently, assistance is not needed during the growing season and the grapes ripen evenly. When the harvest reaches ripeness, they are picked manually in the morning. This is to prevent damage to the bunches and to counteract oxidation.
In addition, the cool morning temperature ensures sufficient acidity. Upon arrival, the grapes are placed in a hyper-modern machine that checks every single grape. Only the best grapes are used, and we can certainly taste that in this MAD Mediterranee Rosé. This modern technique is actually only applied by the very big names in Bordeaux. It is a costly technique, but one that results in a final wine that enjoys great popularity. As a result, with MED Rosé, you have a glass of super quality.
