Rathfinny Classic Cuvée – English bubbles with the quality of Champagne

The Rathfinny Classic Cuvée is a refined English sparkling wine from Sussex. The taste is full and creamy with aromas of white apricot, cream, and lemon on the finish. On the nose, you find aromas of white plums, ginger, and toast.

Rathfinny makes this Brut in the same way as champagne is made. A blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier and Methode traditionelle with second fermentation in the bottle. Rathfinny Classic Cuvée ages in the bottle for 30 months. The grapes grow on the estate, where the calcareous soil and location close to the sea provide freshness and tension.

Fresh, dry and refined

In the glass, this sparkling wine displays a fine and lively mousse. Expect fresh notes of citrus, green apple, and ripe stone fruit. Additionally, the long aging on the lees and bottle aging provide subtle nuances of brioche, toast, and pastry. The low dosage keeps the style dry, precise, and fruit-oriented.

Traditional method from Sussex

The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed as whole bunches. Subsequently, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle. The prolonged aging creates a soft mousse and gives the wine extra depth, without losing its fresh character.

Delicious as an aperitif and at the table

Rathfinny Classic Cuvée is an excellent aperitif, but also goes well with oysters, crustaceans and shellfish, smoked salmon and light fish dishes. The fresh acidity also comes into its own with fried snacks, soft cheeses and festive drinks.

Serve this English sparkling wine chilled at approximately 8 to 10 °C. This way, the fine bubbles, fresh fruit notes, and elegant structure are optimally preserved.
