The perfect duo from the Languedoc!

Discover the sunny flavors of Southern France with this beautiful wine gift. The Southern France Artisan Wine Gift combines two distinctive wines from Domaines Paul Mas in the Languedoc-Roussillon: a fruity red Pinot Noir and a rich white Chardonnay. An ideal gift for any wine lover!

L’Artisan: Artisanal winemaking at its best

L’Artisan literally means “the craftsman“ and that is exactly what this wine line stands for. These are ‘craftmanship wines’ – cuvées sourced from the best vineyards of Domaines Paul Mas. The name refers to the artisanal approach in which old viticultural techniques are combined with modern vinification methods.

    The philosophy of Paul Mas

The philosophy of Les Domaines Paul Mas is focused on preserving the typical characteristics of the soil and grape variety. At the same time, they produce wines that align with what the modern consumer seeks: plenty of fruit, concentration, color, aroma, and flavor.

Jean-Claude Mas combines New World winemaking techniques with Old World traditions. This gives the wines a unique, distinctive character, with a keen focus on quality. He characterizes his wines as ‘Le Luxe Rural’ – rural luxury.

Juicy red fruit, cherries, strawberries, and a hint of spices. This elegant red wine from the Pays d’Oc shows that Pinot Noir can also thrive in the South of France. In cooler spots near Limoux, the grapes ripen slowly and develop their rich aromas.

The best Pinot Noir grapes are selected and blended into a harmonious whole. The wine ages in French oak barrels, which adds extra complexity. On the nose, you encounter wild strawberries, raspberries, and black cherries.
The taste is fruit-driven and balanced. Less tighter than a Burgundy, but with the same elegance. Perfect with charcuterie, poultry, vegetable dishes with pesto, or soft cheeses.

Tropical fruit, roasted hazelnuts, and a hint of vanilla. This Chardonnay is a fine example of what the South of France has to offer. The wine combines southern ripeness with refinement and balance.
80% of the wine ferments for two weeks in stainless steel and 20% ages in American oak. Subsequently, the wine ages in oak for 4 months.

This combination creates a perfect balance between freshness and richness.
Delicious with fish dishes, white meat, or simply as an aperitif. The wine has enough character to be drunk on its own, but is also versatile enough for various dishes.

    About Domaines Paul Mas

Paul Mas Estate is situated between Pézenas and Montpellier, just 10 km from the Mediterranean Sea. Over the past 20 years, the winery has grown from 35 to no less than 850 hectares of vineyards, spread across 15 different domaines. Wines The estate has access to as many as 40 different grape varieties and an enormous range of soils in the Languedoc.

Jean-Claude Mas is undoubtedly the pioneer in the resurgence of the Languedoc as a region for quality wines. He has given the Languedoc ‘New World’ allure with international grape varieties and made the local character hip again with his fashionable wines made from local grapes.

The vineyards are worked with minimal intervention, and the majority is cultivated entirely organically. Jean Claude Mas dislikes chemical products and banned them years ago.
The vineyards are situated in beautiful surroundings, surrounded by olive trees, pine forests, and orchards. The combination of sun exposure and cooling by the Mistral and Tramontane winds ensures optimal ripening.
