The combination of a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir can naturally be called a classic and finds its origins in the French Burgundy. In the United States, they give these traditional wines a new look, which is primarily reflected in long wood aging. Both wines are fruity, full-bodied, and complex with a sultry tone thanks to the wood aging. The bottles are delivered in a luxurious wooden wine box with a sliding lid for an extra festive touch.

Chardonnay

The Bogle Vineyards Chardonnay is the embodiment of a handcrafted wine, with a passion for both the art and the science of winemaking. The result is an absolute classic Chardonnay from the States! Freshness with plenty of extras. Aromas of green apple and caramelized pear fill the nose and are complemented by a hint of honey, vanilla, and nutmeg. The result of 50% barrel fermentation and 9 months of aging in new American oak barrels and 50% in stainless steel tanks. The perfect balance between fresh fruitiness and full, round wood notes. The rich, round opening transitions into a syrupy and silky mouthfeel with tropical fruit. The finish remains long and soft, just like the scent of grandma's warm apple pie.

Pinot Noir

The Bogle Vineyards Pinot Noir is a great red wine that is very smooth and round. For this variety, the Bogle winemakers sourced fruit from the best growing regions in California. The terroirs of the cool Russian River Valley, the coastal hills of Monterey, and the unique Clarksburg Delta all have their own distinctive character. The grapes are vinified separately and undergo 12 months of aging in French and American oak barrels. Combined, the resulting wine is an elegant classic. Pinot Noir.

Refined and nuanced, the mouthfeel softens with cherry fruit alongside pipe tobacco and worn leather. The firm yet persistent finish is perfectly balanced. Bogle Family

Although the Bogle family has been farming since the 19th century, the father-and-son team of Warren and Chris Bogle did not plant their first 20 hectares of wine grapes in Clarksburg, California, until 1968. Clarksburg is a small farming community nestled in the Sacramento Delta. Today, Bogle Vineyards operates over 1,000 hectares of wine grapes in the Delta region. Although the winery was established ten years after the first grapes were planted, it has grown tremendously alongside the vineyards. Bogle Winery currently produces 100,000 cases of wine. Winemaker Christopher Smith joined the winery in 1992. He sources grapes from only the very best vineyards in the state of California and blends that fruit with the best grapes from our Estate Vineyards in Clarksburg.

Although the Bogle family has been growing a variety of products in the Clarksburg region for six generations, their involvement in wine production and sales dates back at least 50 years. In addition to passing on a strong work ethic and dedication to quality, Bogle's success over the years has been rooted in daily involvement combined with fully sustainable viticulture.

Sustainable viticulture

The Bogle family understands that high-quality wines begin with excellent grape varieties. They ensure this by working with respect for the land and the environment, and therefore by working organically. Bogle Vineyards produces varietal wines, including Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Ayrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Pinot Noir. It also produces Port-style dessert wines. At Bogle, they realize that caring for the land and preserving its vitality is essential not only for the family but for the entire world. Future generations must be able to enjoy many harvests for centuries to come. They were awarded the Green Medal Leader Award 2018. This resulted in 96% of all grapes pressed at Bogle in 2018 being Certified Green. This is one of the most environmentally friendly, socially just, and economically viable sustainability practices.
