    Only quality at Antinori!

Antinori Winery is known for its wines of incredible quality, and this one Pèppoli Chianti Classico is no exception to this! A beautiful blend of Sangiovese and a touch of Merlot and Syrah from the heart of Tuscany: Chianti. Intense red in color with complex aromas of cherries, dark chocolate, and vanilla. A wine you want to linger over! Beautifully structured on the palate with soft, sweet tannins and a full finish. Serve this wine with pasta with red sauce and the Italian feast is complete!

    Tasting note Pèppoli Chianti Classico

Intense ruby red color and complex fruity aromas in the glass. Cherries, plums, dark blueberries, and a hint of roses. On the palate, the fruity note remains prominent, followed by warm spices and toast. Vanilla, dark chocolate, rosemary, and cedarwood. Elegant yet powerful. Beautifully structured with sweet, soft tannins and a lively freshness. Excellent with typical Chianti dishes, pasta and pizza with red sauce, or spicy dishes.

    Vinification

Typical Chianti Sangiovese grapes are the dominant grapes in this region. This is also the case in this Pèppoli Chianti Classico. 90% of the wine consists of the Sangiovese grape and the remaining 10% comes from both Merlot as Syrah. This adds just a touch more florality and spiciness to the wine. Each grape variety is harvested, pressed, and vinified separately. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation for extra roundness, after which it is blended. The blended wine ages mostly in large oak barrels. A small portion ages in stainless steel.

    Marchesi Antinori

Antinori is practically synonymous with the concept of Italian wine. You see it from supermarkets to specialized wine shops!

This family has been making wine for over six centuries. Under the family motto ‘Te Duce Proficio’ (Under your guidance I move forward), the Antinoris waged their battle for the improvement of the quality of Italian wines. For many years now, they have been known as an absolute top producer, showing all of wine-loving Italy the way to progress. An eye for both tradition and innovation has made the House of Antinori what it is today: the absolute top of Italy. Over the past decades, the family has invested heavily in its own vineyards in Tuscany, neighboring Umbria, and other parts of Italy. Always with the intention of delivering even better quality wine and passing on the company to the next generation in a financially sound state.
