Fresh, pale and harmonious. DeAi Galli Pinot Grigio delle Venezie d.o.c. Rosato

This Ai Galli Pinot Grigio delle Venezie d.o.c. Rosato has a bright, pale pink color, an exuberant bouquet and is fresh in taste. Pinot Grigio is perhaps one of the best-known Italian grape varieties. A popular grape for white wine, but also for rosé! The wine receives a brief contact with the skins during fermentation. And the pink color of the grape skins themselves also gives the wine its color.

The Ai Galli Pinot Grigio delle Venezie d.o.c Rosato is a very pleasant wine with an excellent price/quality ratio. The nose: strawberry and apple. In the mouth it is clean and crisp with a fresh aftertaste. This wine goes well with lots of sunshine. But also with salad, charcuterie, soft cheeses and mildly spiced chicken.

Azienda Agricola Ai Galli di Buziol Elide

The Azienda Agricola Ai Galli di Buziol Elide winery is situated between the Livenza and Tagliamento rivers. It is a family winery established in Pramaggiore since the early 1970s. The estate's own vineyards border directly on the Friuli wine region to the north and east and feature the characteristic regional ‘Caranto’ soil: clayey sediments rich in calcium carbonate. Father Renato Piccolo and son Alberto maintain and manage the roughly 50 hectares of vineyards with utmost precision. ‘Utmost attention to the vineyards is the foundation for making a good wine,’ according to the Piccolo family. Both traditional and innovative winemaking techniques are employed in the modernly equipped cellar. The Italian Guild of Sommeliers designates their quality wines as leading for the region.

    Venice as a wine region

The DOC-controlled Venezia appellation derives its name from the city of Venice (Venezia in Italian); furthermore, it was effectively the global market for wine, a commodity traded throughout the known world of that time.

It was the Venetians who advocated for the cultivation of vineyards in northeastern Italy, in a vast and complex region whose vineyards stretched from the lagoon—Venice and Torcello—all the way to the foothills of the Alps, an area more than 60 kilometers in length. The soils that characterized this area are very diverse in character—calcareous, clayey, loam, and gravelly—along the course of rivers in which wines with great personality originated. This applies to those made from international grape varieties as well as from local varieties that are unique to the world. These wines, the fruit of Venetian trade and commerce, reflect the multifaceted and polycultural character that has always been the essence of Venice as a civilization.

Each wine represents a territory and its history, a way to discover a way to “live Venice”, to taste and share with friends in an old bistro or tavern. As the old saying goes: “wine brings joy when drunk together in company”. So do not wait any longer to taste this Ai Galli Pinot Grigio delle Venezie d.o.c. Rosato!
