The Californian winery Bernardus is spreading its wings to “good old” France.

We all know the well-known ones Bernardus Chardonnay from the Golden State of California. Loved by many. Full-bodied, rich, and oak-driven. From the very first vintage, Bernardus wines have managed to amaze friend and foe alike. But precisely for a good, dry, spicy, high-quality rosé, the company of the late Ben Pon had to turn to the birthplace of the original rosé: Provence. Ultimately, it has become a dream combination. It has become “the best of both worlds”: The Bernardus Rosé Coteaux d’Aix en Provence is a delicate French rosé with a touch of Californian dreaming. Together in a joint venture with the magnificent winery Château La Coste, they set to work. As a result, they have created a fantastic Rosé with a delicious, pure, and delicate aroma of fresh summer fruit. A crisp, fresh taste with red fruit, grapefruit, white peaches, and a hint of spiciness in the long finish.

‘The best of la Provence with the feeling of California – Tasting Provence. Feeling California’.

A rosé of truly superior quality, made from organically grown grapes, to enjoy with your friends this coming summer. What immediately catches your eye on the label are the two B's forming a heart. It is also a wine to fall in love with simply for its taste. Enjoy it, together with a nice lunch on a summer day with your best friends. Capture all these memories together in the glass with this Bernardus Rosé Coteaux d’Aix en Provence.

Chateau La Coste, a worthy partner

The vineyards are located in the region Côteaux d’Aix-en-ProvenceLocated 16 km north of Aix-en-Provence, the estate offers stunning views of the Luberon mountains and the snow-capped Alps. The Mediterranean climate is influenced by the Mistral, a strong wind that provides welcome cooling in the dry and sunny climate with 2,900 hours of sunshine annually. The cool clay-limestone soils are known for imparting a mineral note, typical of high-quality rosé wines. This organic rosé is made with respect for the soil and the environment; the terroir is allowed to speak for itself.
Château La Coste is owned by Irish art collector Paddy McKillen. Where the vines with an average age of 25 years are carefully cultivated. Japanese architect Tadao Ando designed a modern, geometrically shaped building. A winery, a restaurant and an art center. It is therefore the birthplace of Bernardus new wine: the Bernardus Rosé Coteaux d'Aix en Provence. here it is in its place.
