Cherries, earthy notes, leather, tobacco, licorice, and a hint of pepper: this is Brunello in its purest form. The Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino is a masterpiece from the world-famous Tuscan wine region. Montalcino in Tuscany. Made of 100% Sangiovese From seven unique terroirs, this wine combines power and refinement in an unparalleled manner. Since 1978, the house has proudly produced its distinctive White Label Brunello – a wine that effortlessly unites elegance and character.
With its long aging of no less than 43 months in wood, this Brunello displays an impressive complexity that is fascinating even now and deepens after years of aging. A true embodiment of the passion and tradition of Casanova di Neri. Also try the Rosso di Montalcino!
In the glass, the wine shimmers bright ruby red. The nose opens with lively aromas of cherries and floral notes, complemented by mineral nuances. On the palate, a juicy palette unfolds in which fresh acidity and ripe forest fruits come together. The structure is precise, supported by silky, refined tannins.
The fruity character is supported by subtle spiciness and an elegant touch of wood. The finish is long, energetic, and exceptionally harmonious – a Brunello that invites attentive discovery.
Serve at 18–20°C for an optimal experience.
Casanova di Neri was founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri, who was one of the first to recognize the unique potential of Montalcino. Today, his son Giacomo leads the estate with the same vision and dedication. The estate covers 500 hectares, of which 63 hectares are vineyards spread across seven terroirs with diverse soils and microclimates.
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and rigorously selected, both before and after destemming. Fermentation takes place in conical, temperature-controlled tanks, followed by a 23-day maceration. The wine then ages for 43 months in carefully selected wooden barrels – a combination of tradition and precision that ensures maximum expression of Sangiovese.
The 2020 vintage featured a mild winter and a normal spring, with ideal conditions for flowering and fruit set. The summer was warm and sunny without extreme heat, allowing the grapes to ripen evenly and slowly. The harvest took place in October and yielded wines of exceptional balance, refinement, and length.
The Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino 2020 combines classic Tuscan power with modern precision. A wine with great aging potential and an enchanting elegance that already shines in the glass.
