That is, of course, possible on a summer evening. A party, popping and splashing. Fun, lots of laughter, but also a shame, or is that too Calvinistic? So much next to the glass while it is so delicious *in* the glass, this Cava Mas Fi Brut! Floral, with notes of citrus and peach. Lively bubbles and a fine, super-dry opening! Clean, stylish, and easy to taste, this has aromas of apple and green herbs. It displays good weight and mouthfeel, with flavors of papaya, thyme, and baked apples. This is truly a praiseworthy sparkling wine with good value for money. Perfect for your next party, as an aperitif, or with a wide range of appetizers. Goes very well with shellfish like shrimp and lobster.
Cava is made using the same method as Champagne; the méthode traditionnelle. The wine undergoes a second fermentation of at least 10 months, which gives the wine a refined bubble.
Cava Masachs was founded by Josep Masachs Llorach. The Joseph Masachs winery is located in Vilafranca del Penedès and was established in 1930. Today, the third generation of Masachs owns the winery. Cava Masachs produces approximately 2.5 million bottles annually, 15% of which are exported. The winery owns about 43 hectares of vineyards planted with the grape varieties Maccabeo, Xarello, and Parellada. Cava Mas Fi Brut is one of its major export successes. Currently, they are also experimenting with Chardonnay.
D. Josep Masachs Llorach, a man of strong conviction, great character, and dedication to grape cultivation since his youth, founded Cavas Masachs in his twenties, where he produced Cava in the finest tradition of craftsmanship and with limited production, actually intended for his own consumption and to introduce it to his closest friends. Later, his son, D. Josep Masachs Juvé, continued his father's work under the same policy of very limited production and craftsmanship, combined with hard work to improve the quality of his Cavas.
In 1977, Josep y Joan Masachs set a new direction and launched a new line of Cava on the market based on the experience and know-how of their ancestors. Little by little, the excellent quality of the Cavas produced by these young producers became known on both the domestic and international markets, as a reward for their efforts and dedication.
Today, Cavas Masachs continues the production of Cavas and wines on their Monsarra estate with the same enthusiasm to improve the quality initiated by the founders.
